The Haunted Antique Shop
It was high summer in Reddick, Florida. Snowbirds had fled back to their northern homes. Insects buzzed in the field, and all was quiet, too quiet inside the Wayside Antique shop, a two-story, white-washed structure just off I-75.
Legends of the Lighthouse
The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse sits on a piece of land replete with history and colorful legends. It was completed in 1860. Thousands of visitors have crossed its threshold through the years, and many of them have reported hearing "strange noises" and feeling "cold spots" while climbing the 100-foot spiral staircase. Others felt hands touching their shoulders when there is no one behind them.

Over the years I have had several ghost stories sent anonymously to me, and it's these quaint and subtle stories of hauntings that I find so fascinating, because you realize that ghosts make their presence known in the most mundane of settings, and sometimes it's only in hindsight that we realize exactly what we were experiencing. I have excluded surnames and exact addresses in order to protect the privacy of families. The following is one of those stories:
