In 1890, a long time employee of the Louisville, St. Louis and Texas Railroad Company in Henderson, Kentucky, resigned from his position which he held for many years because of fear of encountering the ghosts haunting the yards at night.
The Persistent Ghosts
Over 30 years ago on November 17, 1988, a heavily pregnant woman named Jackie Hernandez moved with her 2-year-old son to an old bungalow in San Pedro, California. The reason for the move was a troubled marriage, but soon enough this was the least of her worries, when she realized the house was badly haunted.

On September 28, 1889, Sarah Ann Adams, 25, died at her father's home situated on the outskirts of Savannah, Georgia. The cause of death was consumption. It wasn't long before an apparition was seen at the house, but it wasn't Sarah haunting it.
The Haunted Well
In the Trás-os-Montes region of northern Portugal, there is a place called Torre de Dona Chama. It is an ancient place established in the 8th century, and named after a noblewoman who owned a castle there. There was once a story of an enchanted well haunted by a Moorish maiden cursed to be a snake.
